What is USDT?

USDT, also called Tether, is a widely used stablecoin designed to stay worth about one US dollar, making it a popular choice for paying and receiving crypto without price swings.

USDT is issued by Tether and is one of the most widely traded cryptocurrencies. Each token is intended to be worth roughly one US dollar. It exists on several blockchains, including Ethereum and Tron, which is why wallets and exchanges ask which network you want to use.

Creators often prefer USDT because a tribute sent today should be worth about the same next week. Fans like it because they can buy it on most major exchanges and send an exact amount without guessing how prices will move.

MyShrine accepts USDT for fan payments, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum and more than 100 other coins. The fan sees the price including the 10% service fee before paying, and the creator keeps 90% of their set price. For example, a £25 clip costs the fan £27.50 and pays the creator £22.50.

Always match the network on both sides of a transfer, check the wallet address carefully, and keep records of what you receive for your own tax purposes.
