What is Revenue share?
Revenue share is the percentage of each sale a creator platform pays to the creator, with the platform keeping the rest; for example, keeping 80% means the platform takes a 20% cut.
Revenue share, often shortened to rev share or payout rate, is the single most important number when comparing creator platforms. It tells you how much of every sale, tip or tribute actually reaches you before any payout or banking costs.
Rates vary between platforms and sometimes between products on the same platform. OnlyFans and Fansly pay creators 80%. ManyVids reportedly pays 60% on videos and memberships but 80% on store items and customs, and Clips4Sale reportedly pays 60% on clips. Always check a platform's current terms, as rates and promotions change.
MyShrine uses a different structure: the creator keeps 90% of the price they set, and the fan pays a separate 10% service fee on top, shown before they pay. On a £100 sale the creator receives £90 and the fan pays £110. On an 80% platform, the same £100 sale would pay the creator £80.
When comparing, look beyond the headline percentage: payout minimums, holding periods, payout methods and content rules all affect what you actually earn and how reliably you receive it.
