Safety & compliance
What is NCII?
NCII stands for non-consensual intimate imagery: private sexual images or videos shared without the consent of the person shown, including AI-generated or manipulated fakes.
NCII covers intimate images shared without consent, whether they were originally taken privately, stolen or leaked, or created artificially using editing or AI tools. It is sometimes called image-based abuse, and sharing it is illegal in many countries.
For creators, NCII risk shows up in two ways: their own content being leaked or reposted without permission, and people trying to upload images of others who never agreed. Both should be reported quickly, and platforms are expected to act fast on these reports. Watermarking your own content can help prove ownership when you ask for leaked copies to be removed.
MyShrine bans NCII and deepfake intimate imagery. Uploads are automatically scanned, and anyone can report content without logging in. Reports involving intimate imagery shared without consent are treated as priority.
If your images have been shared without consent, save evidence such as links and screenshots, report the content to the platform hosting it, and consider contacting a support service or the police.
