What is Gift feed?
A gift feed is a public, real-time stream showing tributes, gifts and purchases fans make to creators, giving senders recognition while letting anyone who wants privacy send anonymously.
Recognition is part of the appeal for many fans, especially in findom. A gift feed makes sends visible: who gave, how much and to whom. Seeing others give can also encourage new fans to take part, and it gives a creator's profile a sense of activity that a static page lacks.
Gift feeds work best when privacy is a choice. Some fans enjoy public acknowledgement, while others want to support a creator discreetly, so a good feed lets each fan decide. Creators often thank public senders by name in posts or streams, which rewards the fans who want to be seen without exposing those who do not.
MyShrine has a public gift feed showing tributes, gifts, product sales and stream tips as they happen. Fans who choose to tribute anonymously appear as 'Anonymous', so their name is hidden from the feed.
Creators can use the feed as social proof and to thank supporters, but should never reveal the identity of a fan who chose to stay anonymous, even if they know who sent it from a private conversation.
