What is Tribute?
A tribute is a voluntary payment a fan sends directly to a creator as a gift or gesture of appreciation, most commonly associated with findom and femdom, with no product required in return.
A tribute is a direct payment from a fan to a creator. It is not tied to a clip, photo or service; the fan sends it because they want to. In findom, the tribute is the core of the dynamic, but tributes are also used more widely as a way to support a creator.
Creators usually present tributes as preset amounts, such as a small, medium and large tier, with an option to send a custom figure. Some attach a message box so fans can say why they are sending, and many publicly thank senders unless the fan asks to stay anonymous.
MyShrine has a dedicated tribute page for every creator, with preset tiers, custom amounts and an anonymous option that hides the fan's name from the public gift feed. The creator keeps 90% of the tribute amount; the fan pays a 10% service fee on top. For example, a £100 tribute pays the creator £90 and costs the fan £110.
Fans pay today by cryptocurrency, either directly or from a prepaid wallet balance. Crypto payments cannot be charged back, which protects creators from reversed tributes. As with all findom, tributes should always be voluntary and affordable.
