Content & selling
What is Custom content?
Custom content is a photo, video or audio piece a creator makes to a specific fan's brief, priced individually and delivered privately to that fan once it is complete.
Customs are made-to-order content. A fan describes what they would like within the creator's stated limits, the creator agrees a price, and the finished piece is delivered to that fan. Because each piece takes individual effort, customs are usually priced well above standard clips.
The main risks for creators are unpaid work and scope creep. Taking payment before starting, publishing clear limits and turnaround times, and charging for extras such as extra length help keep customs profitable.
On MyShrine, custom requests are paid in full up front. The creator can accept the request, make a counter-offer or decline it, and a declined request is refunded to the fan automatically. The creator's earnings are released when the custom is delivered. A £60 custom costs the fan £66 and pays the creator £54.
All custom deliveries on MyShrine are scanned before they are sent. Requests must stay within the content policy: consensual, adult-only and never involving real people who have not agreed to take part.
