Your Identity
The ID verification step is the part that makes most people nervous. We get it — handing over a passport or driving licence feels like a big deal. Here is the full picture.
Verification is handled by DiDit, a specialist identity provider. When you upload your ID and take your selfie, that data goes directly to DiDit’s encrypted systems. MyShrine receives only a pass/fail result and your verified legal name. We do not receive, store, or have access to a copy of your document.
The liveness check (the selfie step) is there to protect you too — it prevents someone else using a photo of your ID to impersonate you and open an account in your name.

Your Content
Every file you upload — product videos, profile images, chat media, wishlist thank-yous, custom deliveries — goes through a two-layer review before anyone else on the platform can see it.
Layer 1 — automated scanning: Files are checked against Project Arachnid (a hash database of known illegal material operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection) and Sightengine (AI-based content detection). This happens in seconds. If anything is flagged, the upload is blocked immediately.
Layer 2 — human review: Clean uploads are held in a review queue. A human moderator approves the file before it becomes visible on your profile. Nothing goes live automatically.
Your content remains yours. You grant MyShrine a licence to display it on the platform — you do not assign ownership. You can delete any content at any time, and it will be removed from our systems.
We are registered as a DMCA Designated Agent (registration DMCA-1079323). If someone steals your content, you can file a takedown request and we will act on it.

Your Money
The fee model is simple and disclosed in full before you sign up. You set your own prices. Fans pay a 10% service fee on top of your price. You receive 90% of everything you price — no ambiguity, no hidden deductions.
Payments are in cryptocurrency via NowPayments (100+ supported coins including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and many more). Crypto means no chargebacks — once a payment is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be reversed or clawed back by a card company.
Payouts are processed every Friday for balances above £50. If your account is ever suspended (which follows the three-strike process described below), your earnings are held safely — not forfeited. They are paid out once the situation is resolved.

Your Data
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration number ZC231197) and comply with the UK GDPR. This is not legal boilerplate — it means you have enforceable rights over your data backed by a statutory regulator.
You can download all your data at any time from your account settings (GDPR Article 20 right to data portability). You can also request account deletion — your account enters a 30-day grace period, then all personal data is removed from our systems.
We log IP addresses on login, signup and flagged uploads. This is disclosed in our Privacy Policy (Section 2.5) and is required for security, fraud prevention and our legal obligations under the UK Online Safety Act.

Your Account
We will never suspend your account without telling you why, and we will never make it permanent without giving you a chance to appeal. The process is transparent and documented.

Strike 1 or 2
You receive an email and an in-app notification explaining the issue. Your account stays active. You can appeal any strike from your dashboard.

Strike 3
Account is suspended. You cannot publish new content or take new payments — but you retain read-only access and can view your balance and appeal.

Appeal overturned
If a human reviewer upholds your appeal, the strike is removed. If this brings your active count below 3, your account is automatically reactivated.

Reporting & Takedowns
Anyone can report content without creating an account. Reports about non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) and content involving minors are treated as urgent — we respond within 48 hours. All other reports are addressed within 5 business days.
We are legally required to report CSAM (child sexual abuse material) to the National Crime Agency (NCA CSEA-IRP), the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and Cybertip.ca. This is not optional — it is a criminal offence in the UK to fail to report it.
If you are a creator and someone has shared intimate images of you without consent, use our dedicated TAKE IT DOWN removal form. It requires no account, and we treat these reports with the same 48-hour priority.

Is my ID document stored on MyShrine?+
No. Identity verification is handled entirely by DiDit, a specialist identity verification provider. DiDit processes your ID document and liveness check on their encrypted infrastructure. Can anyone see my content before it is approved?+
No. Every upload you make — profile photos, product files, custom deliveries, chat media — goes through automated scanning and human moderation review before it is visible to anyone else on the platform. Nothing publishes automatically.
What happens if I get a false strike?+
Every strike can be appealed. You submit your appeal from your dashboard and a human reviews it. If the appeal is upheld, the strike is overturned and does not count towards your total. You always retain read-only access to your account and your balance during any appeal.
How do I know my payout will arrive?+
Payouts are processed every Friday for earnings above £50. The platform keeps a transparent 10% service fee — creators always receive exactly 90% of the price they set. All fee splits are disclosed in the Terms and FAQ before you sign up.
Can MyShrine delete my account without warning?+
No. Account closure follows a clear three-strike system with appeals at every stage. If you choose to delete your own account, there is a 30-day grace period before any data is removed. Suspension holds your balance safely — you do not lose earnings.
